Observation devices with wide angle of view

PREXER Co. is at present working on new generation of periscopes with a wide angle of view and whose elements formally made of classical glass have been replaced with plastics. The modernisation is worked on to match the needs of armoured transporters.

The periscopes in which prisms are made of organic glass apart from having a wide angle of view in both planes are also much lighter than the periscopes in which prisms are made of optic glass (by about 50%). This is an essential feature bearing in mind the fact that the mass of observation devices is of extreme importance, particularly as far as afloat transporters are concerned.
